For Yanyuwa people butterflies are known as Argulabimbi . There are many different kinds in the Gulf region and the best time to see them is when the wild flowers are in full bloom after the wet season. All kinds of colours, sizes and shapes can be seen and they appear in a number of dreamtime stories for Yanyuwa people.
